The new referee committee has designed a new development pathway to aid existing referees and interested referees-to-be, acquire the necessary knowledge and abilities to achieve dreams of becoming an international referee.
Referees can expect to be nurtured through a structured tiered system and receive game development updates during referee forums organised throughout the year. The management committee recognises the importance of having an effective and committed team of referees to support the growth of the game. As such, Singapore Floorball Association is focused on channelling necessary resources into building a strong network of referees and officials.
Fulfill the following criteria as follows:
| Level 1 | a) To clock min. 24 hours refereeing duties in SFL Division 1 – 4 Level 1 b) Attend required number of referee forums *To qualify for level 2: min of 48hrs + fitness test + rule test |

b) Pass Level 2 fitness test + rule test c) Attend/Conduct referee forums/Level 1 referee course *Eligible for International Referee nomination |

Referees wishing to be considered for promotion or international nomination will be subjected to appraisal by fellow referees as well as the officiating committee panel.

This course is designed to impart refereeing skills and knowledge to referees-to-be. The emphasis of this course is to teach referees to interpret and apply the basic rules of Floorball appropriately during the course of a match.
At the end of this course, referees will be able to:
Trainee Referees are required to participate in all scheduled practical and theory sessions. Participants absent for any of the sessions will be considered to have failed the course. Participants will be considered as absent if he/she is late by 5 minutes after scheduled start of the session.
